What might be happening is you having picked the seeds before you got the treeplanting skills? Not sure if it's like mining and they get the bonuses added to them when picked rather than when planted, but if they do you'll be having the base chance to sprout them. I also don't see why farming itself should affect it, it was my understanding it'll only softcap your resulting tree but that's about it. I've not yet heard of a Hafen skill that was directly affected by skillpoints invested, else I'd saw boards like a sawmill with high carpentry and smelt more successfully with smithing :P

Strongly doubt that there's a bug here.

I know for a fact this doesnt matter. Cause we have been picking important seeds when alts were running from starter zone - as long as my farmer/treeplanter put them in pots and plants them - no problem.

Well how it's not a bug that my planted mullbery dies every damn time, it's been my 9th try and still the same.
Is there a new way to grow trees, like same with building a well?

donatas - do you do make 4 trees at a time or just 1 tree . cause that might make a difference. I used to make 8 pots at a time .. and I think I said earlier that I had about 1-3 go through - and that was in the beginning of my tree planting. So I might get unlucky and get only 1 sprout from 8 tries. - I just did it all in 1 go. Easier actually.

I didn't know how you so unlucky, I always use 4 pots, and I never get that all plants die, only 1 time die 3 of 4 plants. It was when I was low lvl player(~10 skills).

I don't think the farming skill effects the sprout chance at all, only the quality, i had 5 farming the first time i did trees, that was with the Forestry skill, i got 3 out of 4 pots sprouted.

Other than not having the Forestry and Druidic Rite skills, your having really really shitty luck.

Keep trying and definitely get the Forestry/Druid skills.

I've had times when I planted 8 trees at a time and all 8 died, with my farming alt that has all the tree planting skills except for druid. Its farming skill was around 45 at the time.

It is probably due to really bad luck, try using at least 4 pots at a time, or make another table and sprout 8 pots at a time if you're that desperate to get mulberry trees.

Also keep in mind that mulberry trees only grow 245 leafs(and take a really long time to respawn them). Each tree produces enough leafs to feed 61 silk worms. I find it better to just chop down the trees after harvesting the berries, sticks, and leafs and then replanting new trees in their place.
