Background to the request is: once upon a time there was a client that contained a keylogger.

With the contents the file to educate themselves even the paranoid can now patch their client in case of the problem without the (however rational) fear of endangering hundreds or thousands of hours put into a character or a village.

Or Loftar could pull it into the official one.

No worries, I didn't think about stuff like that. I don't know if it truly worked, or if I'm just lucky. Hopefully this might help some other people, but I'm not sure if this truly is where the memory allocation actually is.

well, mem key in updater's config should change memory option when launching client, if I wrote updater's code correctly.

Paged loftar.

I'm pretty sure that only difference is between how it handles console input.
Should not affect performance in any way.

That very well could be true. My knowledge in Java is extremely limited. I was just trying to use the power of deduction to figure out what the cause may be. I know that I have a few friends that have the same issue, and a couple people in here said they have as well so i figured I would play around with some settings to see what works. You know, hopefully beginners luck happens :P

Yeah, that's exactly where I edited it. You see, first I was using a simple batch file to try and change the memory settings, but that didn't work. So I actually unpacked updater-hafen.jar and changed it there.

Update: Could still be some off form of luck, but using the new updater with the changed mem integer, I still have had no issues with stuttering at all. Was actually playing with two clients open, exploring a rather large portion of the map and no stuttering. fingers crossed that it may have done it. Going to pass the file to my friends and have them do some extensive testing and see if they can replicate.
