Right, that's quite a possible theory, and would perhaps also explain why pedorlee's GPU temperature was as low as below 30° C when playing Haven. That did seem quite chilly indeed.

I wouldnt say that less than 30 degrees when playing hnh would be that unusual.
I dont have anywhere near the optimal setup for temperature, and I can play hnh with only 33'c temperature.
With some not-overclocked gpu and maybe better setup overall, less than 30c does not sound impossible.

Op said it's a gtx970, that is a desktop vga...it's not possible he is running on the intel vga...his monitor is plugged in the gtx970, I don't think the intel vga of the processor can work on desktop pc if there is a dedicated vga, but maybe i'm wrong. Disabling from the bios is the best choice btw, like I did.
Now he said that happen only when he walk near big crops or a lot of trees....so maybe it's just the game limits, i mean, i have a gtx970 too and I have no problem at all, but never tested the game with huge crops etc...

Op try to turn off shadows on your clien and other graphic settings, if you solve in this way....simply those crops are too big for the game, or maybe it's a cpu thing and cannot be solved at all, if not with more optimization in the future.
To me the game run very smoothly now after the memory leak fix.

Yeah i'm agree, with high end VGA the load on them is almost non existent.

Your logic is invalid.

Really?...good to know. Mine is disabled on the bios btw.
So the intel VGA can still do stuff then send information to your monitor through the dedicated vga....I should investigate if I can make them work both together then.

Im not playing with a laptop and the game was running perfectly till one week ago, thats why I asked devs if there was any recent change.
I first uninstalled drivers, then I installed the drivers from the Cd that came with the graphic card. The game had the same problems, then I installed a newer version of the drivers and the game keeps failing the same way. Its very weird.

BTW: changing the following parameters in autohaven.jnlp to
Code: Select all
    <j2se version="1.8+" max-heap-size="1024M" />
    <java version="1.8+" max-heap-size="1024M" />

makes the client run way more smoothly on 64bit java (windows 7 64).
It seems that it takes pressure from the garbage collector so it dosn't have to run that often.

YMMV.

Btw out of curiosity I just played the game a bit right now....recently I was not playing at this time, and now indeed it seems there is some server side lag....that I usually don't have....I don't know if is this time frame or not, btw if it will persist during the next days I'll report in here.
