Is there something in game that can damage knarr for more then 1250HP at once?

Can server-lag issues take knarr in some rapidly-insta-dmg loop, where damage tick would apply over and over again in a second?

I have already answered both of these questions, and tested it. No, and certainly not.

What may be the reason of this mystery?

I don't know, but I would not exclude the suggestion I have already offered, namely that the user was misinformed as to how damaged the Knarr actually was.

Well, I noticed that after server started to lag a week or so ago Amber shows 0 as number of players in the game. At the start of the world the count was working, then it went 0 during one of the first big lag spikes (I think it was before the previous weekend), then there was a brief period it was working again but lately it's always 0. I don't know the details but I am pretty sure that info is supposedly sent from the server. So I start to suspect that maybe under heavy load server doesn't send very accurate information and maybe something similar happened in that case? It might be misinformation but maybe not purely on the client side?

The damage is inconsistend it seems and I now may believe something is broken or stupid. (dunno how for knarrs but for rowboats maybe).

I have broken 4 rowboats in total and it seemed they lasted somewhere near 3 seconds if no more.
4th rowboat broken in less than 2 seconds and I lost my char. [generally a lot faster than 3 before]

While fishing, I went too far 3 times, going back each time I saw a message so I didn't stay on deeper ocean nor I was accumulating constant damage. 3 ticks in total. 3 ticks broken rowboat faster than when literally crash test while swimming constantly forward until it breaks.

Not pleasant experience I didn't note exact % while trying to repair boat (and it was my own fault not fixing it, but cancelling), but last tick was def. bigger than other two for some odd reason

Regardless of everything back this topic
Please, tone down the damage or make it rise which each tick instead of what it is now.

friend died today in a dugout, he was fishing near deep ocean, then server ( or client, or internet connection ) lag while he was moving, and boat is no more, he drown to death...

i think death in ocean is not balanced well, with all this ocean things...

one server lag and you helplesly see how you are drowning

I suggest changing how swimming works. if you move you lose stamina. if you just stay put and tread water you would lose stamina at a greatly reduced rate.

usually when going overboard in the ocean its not getting tired that kills you. its pretty easy to just float in salt water. its the tempature that does you in.

so i suggest making it if you lose your boat allow players at least 10~30 min of stamina so they can request a rescue at sea
