Idk. Perhaps some skills should be adjusted upward to compensate.

I know I'll be printing out a list of all tree types to systematically chop once each for LP gain (and apparently others have already been doing the same). It's valid gameplay, but it doesn't really feel H&H-ish to me.

How reasonable is that? Search for a tree/bush, cutting, getting blocks and boards. This time, for example, can be spent on farming and better fiber, which will improve your curiosity produced. Or the same time can be spent searching for edelweiss, etc.

you speak of this as it is something you have to do mutually exclusive of each other. They're actually coinciding tasks. Early game like this you're exploring far and wide for WWW to dry to get better crops. Why not farm your LP from trees and such while you're out there exploring already? And farming overall? Unless you're spending a few hours just harvesting and replanting crops, you've got plenty of time to forage and explore. At the beginning of the world, nobody has that man animals to feed.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Almost always there is another occupation. In addition, the early cutting of trees takes a lot of time and effort. Again, by fulfilling the woodcutter's credo, some trees will be examined. The moral is that it is hardly advisable to purposefully seek out all the bushes and trees. Much will be investigated by itself, and the rest - secondary.

for now every account can take yeomanry at start of the game pretty fast and its good because it give everyone ability to build starting base.
if the cost of yeomanry will increase and it will takes few round of curiosities or a lucky quest, people without lp bonus or luck will be really unhappy

People without luck in any case will be unhappy: their hf will appear in the center of the mountains of the new world, the character will appear surrounded by wolves and will receive a quest for picking dandelions.
