if quality is really rare now, I think it 's a good thing... it's for everyone... what difference it makes, players were killing mammoths on the first week anyways, walrus also insta killed... so whatever... you can spam stuff all you want, but quality needs more dedication, it's ok... and the locality favors some kind of trading too, unless you want to have villages all over the world, which i tried last world and it's a great way to burn out faster...

No, it's only for farmers as you said it. Hunters still got their stuff. Miners are considerably slowed down but the core of mining is still the same and fun enough. Farmers OTOH are fucked now.

it's 5/11 to have worse crops, 6/11 to have better or same quality...so if you plant 11 at q10 you have an average of 6 of the same quality or above, enough to replant the all thing increasing the average....then it's a luck matter.
Make friends with the other crabs or try to escape the bucket.

Well, if that's your understanding of the probability theory, then I'll probably stop arguing. Keyword here is "on average". About half of the people who planted 11 crops will end up being fucked. Happy farming.

What? I'm simply saying you have 50% of your crops better or at least same quality, sometime better and sometime worse....what is your problem?
They will be always small numbers, luck it's an important factor....but being 6/11 you should always able on the average to don't lose crops. It will happen only when you hit the q50 cap.
Yes you can increase them slowly if it's your problem.....but it depends also on the crops and how many seeds you get.

You said to plant 11 crops to be fine. :) That's not really the same as 50% chance. The more you plant the safer the game is. Yes, if you start with 1000 crops field chances to get fucked are really slim. If you have at least 100 you are probably fine. But with 10... Bleh. Hint: how many times do you think you'll need to replant those 10 crops to reach 50q starting from, let us say 20q?

Another funny thing is - with that system the ultimate crop will be the grape. It gives more harvest per generation, therefore is possible to improve continuously on any land. Just slow.

i dont see you peoples problems really.

theres 8 options on average for each crop. -5 to +2
if you have maxxed out skills you get 15 seeds per (for instance) carrot.
you plant 8 carrots of q10.
you wil get:
15 seeds of 5
15 seeds of 6
15 seeds of 7
15 seeds of 8
15 seeds of 9
15 seeds of 10
15 seeds of 11
15 seeds of 12


this gives 9 replantings (45 seeds) of q 10 and higher.
so you can still replant higher and higher and higher.
this is just slowed and a more randomized.
but still fully able to increase to the moon.

Not really. It's ~50% chance that you'll have enough seeds of the same or better q to replant. It will turn to 50% of crops only on big numbers. Which are impossible when you have to wonder far far away to find at least one proper WWW.

It was just an example, certainly more you plant better the chance to keep the average up.
P.S. I've not said to plant 11 crops to be fine. Even if its possible, maybe a bit slowly if you get unluck but still you can increase the quality of those 11 crops also pretty easier.

well if you're going to reduce gameplay to a single activity, you may get bored real fast, or inevitably get rekd by village drama that inevitably happens
