whatever had the same trap like 2 worlds ago, you can ask roskuwacz. it was built by okocim. i know you're new but you should've been aware of traps like that existing. 100% skill issue and you could've saved yourself if not for you being a drooling retard.
What amazes me more than how light the punishment was, is how nothing was done about it ingame. I'm actually starting to think people are frightened that you'll do it again, so to protect the server, they work with you instead of going against you, all in the hopes that you will leave the server alone.

it wasnt a trap per se, but used the same idea, we had one visitor gate in a cave near our village in case we got chased so we could hop in the cave and make them have visitor instantly & be safe

I'm vsmart. I know that the solution to this problem will only lead to more issues and more edge cases that wont get trapped for and cause more unexpected scenarios and it'll be an endless circle. Expectations vs reality on this one, I guarantee that the fix will be just to force inspect onto caves before entering, unless of course they just decide to do away with building anything near a cave entrance and just make the beginning game even worse with arbitrary rules on where you can build. The solution wont be elegant.

Linking those Divine Judgement threads and comparing it to the case here is a disingenuous argument. I've been the victim of 2 of those 3 DI threads (And the offending party in the 4rth linked by me). My character was killed in the Church of the Tar Kiln via a wall jump and Felix visitor by passed Tree Zone and CF. These were actions that were done to maximize damage while the defensive party was offline and had no way to be avoided.

... You walked into a cave before inspecting and fell for a trap that's existed since the introduction of Visitor Debuff. This is a completely avoidable scenario and errs on the user needing to be more cautious when entering the unknown. I thought Felix fukt up when he died in a dungeon, Should we be nuking people over that one too? Or does personal responsibility only matter when it's not you.

This trap is easily beaten by simply peeking in the cave before actually going in. I'm not good at PvP, but as someone aspiring to be better, this is a great learning opportunity! Thanks Misa for teaching me to be better at the game. I won't be baited into caves.
On a serious note, this does not warrant a nuke for utilizing the game mechanics in a way that has been used for many years. The only reason this entire situation is gaining traction now is because Whatever Bay is rallying it's many members to leave reports on this post. There is no shot that half of the posts on this topic aren't from accounts that are alts. If you wish to remove the mechanic here that the developers have known about for a while now, there are some good suggestions here revolving around gates being built so close to the cave entrance. This would be annoying early world but if it's something you're insistent on "fixing" then this might be the least shitty way to do so. You can't control how people use your mechanics, but you can control how your mechanics work. It's up to you. This trap is circumventable with in-game mechanics and a bit of forethought, so I think it hardly warrants a change anyway. This is just a large group upset that they trusted their gear in someone who is not fit to wear it, and they would rather demonize and abuse the system than accept that they made a poor decision.

Vgates shouldn't be entered while in combat. Did this happen with him? Which mechanic they glitched to kill him?

This has been explained at least three times already. Game doesn't simply give "there is no room" and instead drops you on the other side of the visitor gate. Simply by right-clicking the cave entrance (without Shift key) and enter, you're stuck until trap maker's aggro bot crashes or server goes down.
