I've got the same error, and I have the last update of java 8. it says 'Graphics context does not support programmable shading'.

Same problem here, at least on the older laptop. Might be something with the fact that I run 32bit windows here?

Got new drivers for the graphic card (net framework included) and it got me to the login screen. Not sure if it will run further as the servers are down, but you might try updating your drivers in the meantime ;P
