After connected black screen

I know a lot of people have this issue but I can't find any of there solutions to help. I can log in but after it connects the whole screen is black. There is no health bars, mini map or anything. I have updated java. Uninstalled java and reinstalled. I even straight up sat and waited. Any ideas or suggestions? After about 5 minutes it goes back to the login screen asking for my password.

There has been a fix for this. Locking.
