Bonus for discovering objects twice? [Resolved]

Hey, I was wondering if I was supposed to get lp for discovering things more than once? Because I just got the little bonus for both walnuts and cherries, which I have already discovered before (I know, because I frequently use them for variety).

That's from the last update. You should get lp for discovering all nuts, berries, seeds, wood blocks, etc even if you've discovered them before. It's because not every type of gatherable item was awarding discovery lp before and it was decided that the early game was going a bit too slow, so it was added to give people a bit of a leg up.
