Bug with dice?

I made some dice and I happened to roll a five. I put it in my study window and it suddenly changed several times. Now it's stuck on one and whenever I put it in my study window it just keeps saying one. I'm assuming this is a bug?

I saw someone say if you drop them on the ground, it "resets," but has diminishing returns. I'd have to dig the post up again (was in HDI if I recall right). True?

I saw that post aswell but it does not seem to be true

I figure it's someone either trolling or seeing something that isn't there, but haven't been in the place to test it, and dice, last time I made one, were utter crap because ashes were figured at q0 (came out q1, 2, 1 just after I learned the recipe).
