Hero's cap bug, maybe worse

Postby pedorlee » Fri Sep 04, 2015 11:11 am

Well, yesterday i posted about how easy is to go through hf to get inside caves or buildings. I've tried again and it worked. Well, after that i walked a bit, found another cave with a hf aaaaand:

I pressed in his hf and ive been able to get this guys hero's cap. So now i have 2. Maybe this can be done with other items. So this is maybe a way to duplicate bought shop items????

Come on, this one is good. Jorbftur, pls cape. xD

The bug is that you can access your own shop items via other people's hearthfires. Your first hero's cap is probably pre-patch and thus is treated like a normal item. You just pulled out your post-patch hero's cap that will decay if it's ever removed from your backpack/body. So yes, you have two hero's caps and both of them were already yours. I guarantee you that every hearthfire you try to access will yield the same results, having another hero's cap you can pull out. Magically, when you pull it out, one of your hero's caps will disappear. =)

Needs to be big to not mesh bleed through every damn other thing it can interact with. Also looks awesome.

And, yes, I think that's your own hero's cap your "stealing". Will be fixed in any event.
