Could not Locate SErver or Crash

My friend has been trying to get on HnH since release, and on default client he loads all the way in, up until downloading map. It just gets stuck at that download and eventually crashes. He has tried all custom clients and the same thing happens. He tried on his laptop as well, and it doesn't crash, it just tells him it could not locate the server. Any fixes for this?

Where do I find it, and how can i post the, "Could not Locate Server"?

If the game crashes then java should produce a crash report.

There is no such message anywhere. Please be more precise.

It would also help if you could give your friend's account name, so that I can check logs.

His account name is NewAge and the downloading map occurs on character creation, during the black screen of loading. It just stops at something to do with loading the map. He can't ever get past the character creation.

Edit:1 He doesnt' have access to his desktop right now so he cant get the crash logs, but his laptop just says could not locate the server.
