if your pc happens to go into sleep mode the client crashes every time

I doubt they're gonna take the time to fix this. If your PC goes into sleep mode, you'll be disconnected anyways; there's no practical difference between relogging and crashing and restarting the client.

Make your own bug report and post the crash java spits out at you, in that case. Hitching on to someone else's bugreport is not good practice if you're hoping for a solution.
