Spitroast over-roasting

Spitroast over-roasting

If you turn a spitroast manually, or if you leave a roast to cook over time, there's a second timer that pops up after. Turning the roast doesn't interact with the timer, but it lets you sit there turning.

Seems like the timer shouldn't be there at least since it appears to do nothing.

Yes, it does. It turns whatever is on the spit to ash. Not a bug.

Why can we still turn it though? The timer doesn't progress when you're doing that.

Seems like if the timer is intended, the turning isn't?

Can confirm the second timer doesn't do anything.

I've spent 30+ minutes turning a rabbit on the second timer, didn't move at all.

I'm actually taking that back. I've managed to get some timer progress this time (I've tried multiple times before with no luck). I'm up to about 4% after 10 minutes.

Edit: This is a lot of effort to burn my food >.>

Aww, got up to 33% before server down.

Three hours to burn something. Is there really a reason to allow spit turning? XD

Turning into ash takes a damn long time (24hrs?), and this is intended. The fact that you can turn the spit to get there is more pseudo-intended than actually intended. It is a natural consequence of the spit turning mechanic as such, but I can't claim to mind it. Don't use it if you don't like the time to action ratio you get from it.

Not a bug.

I think I "ashed" a rabbit in roughly 3 hours with the auto-turn. Could have been a few more though.

Too bad it's just ash, and not bone ash. Would be way more useful than burning bones in the kiln the way the quality formulas work.
