Farming doesn't affect crops at all when you're harvesting them as far as i can tell.

No, not when you are harvesting, indeed. This is intentional. It matters when you plant them, however.

Ah ok. Quality itself seems to be bugged none the less though. Unless it's intended that the quality drops every single time :P
