Crashing During downloading of map

GPU ATI HD 5700
OS Win 7

I am able to log into the game fine but when it starts to download assets it always gets to gtx/files/fen.... then it freezes (audio continues) after about 20 seconds the video driver crashes and entire program is a black screen, This happens in Vanilla and custom clients.

The video driver crashes, indeed? The client itself keeps on trucking? Any error reports?
