Log issue

I cut down a Linden tree, and took one of the logs into my cellar to make cupboards.
When I tried to cut boards out of it, the log went from 100% to 0% in 1 board, and by 100%, i mean the hourglass was completely full.
This did not happen with the second segment of the same tree (which yielded 15 boards if it matters)

Did it happen near any server crashes?
