Damage dealt during sparing destroys items

As in the title. Was sparing with my girlfriend when suddenly my boar tusk hat disappeared. Seems that damage dealt during sparing breaks items that have an armor class.

Lesson learn, only spare with your GF naked.

It's still rather expected to have sparing not have ANY permanent influence over the game world. I believe that is the purpose of the sparing feature, unless Haven understands that in a different way.

Because in real combat you use armor and it completely changes things. Your punch doing 0 damage or your punch doing 30 damage is a substantial difference.

If combat was well balanced right now, I might actually agree with that, but when a chop with a good sword will nearly KO the best stats right now, armor almost seems pointless to practice with. Just see who can break the other person's defense first and get a chop off.

In group combat its about landing chops, in 1v1 you can easily beat someone if the only way they are trying to win is by chopping you. In these scenarios, the other attacks are much more relevant and thus armor is as well.
