New Spitroast not cooking meat

I upgraded by q5 spitroast and made a q10 out of kings oak, and.... now im turing a cleaned bat and its not advancing the hourglass.

I put my old one back and it's... still not cooking the meat. The fire is right over it. What's happening?

Put the fire out, put the spitroast back on, start the fire back up. That seems to fix it.
