Prospecting arrows

Postby Apillion » Wed Sep 23, 2015 6:49 am

So i have been prospecting i got a arrow pointing to something...

i followed the arrow...
i ran out of rust root..
i farmed more rust root
went back to the same spot no more arrow :(
relog arrow is back found iron... yay

to test i ran around a bit to load a new map area and when i return to use rust root again there was no arrow again.
relog still no arrow...
went to do something else tried to test rust root on normal client no arrow
back to amber client arrow is back again
after some time arrow is gone again.

i cant seem to figure out what makes it stop showing and what makes it work again and i ran out of rust root to do more tests so now i'm handing it over to you pros.

Extract quality determines the range at which it will look for ores. If you came back with lower ql extract then its range might not be enough to find the vein

it was QL 10 or atleast i think so will check again ... went to exactly the same spot to test every time

stood 8 tiles from where the ore is .. tells me there is flint or something cant remember directly below and makes a big red circle with a arrow same as dowsing ... next time i test there is no circle other times there is ... always tells me whats under me that works fine . just the arrow that doesn't always come up.

i have found other pockets of iron close to that one when the arrow works ... (with the same rust root )

Edit: ok my bad i retested with rust root i was looking at the jar QL and not the content of the jar...

Feel free to lock
