Intended. Currently contemplating equipment buffs in general, but merchant's robe does extend inventory.

Not a bug.

I don't mind merch robe not giving a stat buff but it should be worn over any other item. Inventory space is so useful that you want a merch robe and backpack whenever you can get one. While temporarily replacing backpack for quiver can be maybe viewed as an interesting mechanic replacing robe each time you want to load curios is not in any way fun as a mechanic just tedious and obnoxious.

One might argue the entire mechanic of putting on clothing to load curios is retarded. Loftar mentioned headache wounds from over-loading your study and I'm all for it. If you're not wearing the clothes you shouldn't get to keep the benefit.

I agree, but don't do a headache wound or something like that, just fix it in a meaningful way so that you can't 'overfill' . e.g. you can't remove the piece of clothing if it reduces your int below the value of the equipped curious, so that you have to remove curious until the max value is met, or wear the clothing until the value is met, your choice.

That one wasn't my idea, Loftar mentioned it. I stopped bothering to clothing overfill int a long time ago due to the pure pain in the ass it is.

And people will still wear the merch robe online and ash before logging off and it will still be crap having to change clothes every login and logout

If we're going to have ashen robes give better stats than merchant robes then we need wardrobes back ASAP for quick clothes switching.

Well then clothing simply shouldn't give Int buffs. Solved?

Lets replace it with food buffs like tea and shit. Same effective concept, less of a pain in the ass.

I'm not saying the int buff should be removed from the game, it just shouldn't be tied to clothing for the aforementioned pains it causes.
