You can use worms to create dirt stockpiles. You can retrieve the worms from said stockpiles. However, you can;t put worms in already existing stockpiles.

Hearthlings believe that earthworms are clods of dirt animated to life, so this is very much as intended. It is a bug, however, that you can't put more worms into the stockpile beyond the first one used to place it.

Will be fixed.

I just noticed this for the first time when trying to add worms to my chicken coop. Any plans on making worms be usable as fodder as well?
