Shooted bat across river - corpse disappear in water in moment of death.

Any animal that dies on water will disappear.

The bat disappeared because its body counts as an item. Bears and such will not disappear.

Not correct: anything that can be picked up in the inventory dropped upon water will disappear. Corpses that are not pickable will not sink. Also, if you log out with something lifted over your had that can't be placed over water - it will also disappear.
