You aren't going to get your character back no matter what - that's something you, me, and the rest of us signed up for knowing 100% already. No matter what happened, server error, your fault, an act of God, stolen password.

It sounds like you already talked to Loftar and he didn't mention any bugs on the servers end, hopefully he checks one more time just to be sure. Characters shouldn't be logged in while not connected/scented/aggro'd. Nothing wrong the bug report on those merits.

Think about the increase in quality and variety of items you have now vs when the server started: it will easily cut in half the time needed to grow this character back to full.

I don't believe anybody has been revived intentionally since the start of the world, someone can correct me on that if wrong.

We should obviously be tracking death events better than we presently do to help in future investigations of this nature, and we should also present a cause of death to the end-user. Arguably we should also log people off after some amount of AFK.

Those are some changes that come to mind, and I'll look into this a bit more, but I'm not sure there's much to be done. Loftar has already determined the cause of death to be starvation.
