The amazing reffiling water barrel

Well today I was drawing water from a barrel, thought I drained it. Then when I went to refile it I found it was 100% full. Ehich worries me so i am making this thread.

How I think it happened:

Took water from the barrel, less then a buckets worth left.
Went inside my log cabin, made my pie dough.
Went to go and fill the barrel and it was full.

I might have logged out some time during this to save some of my play time.

Has someone else experienced this? Any sort of confirmations or steps to reproduce would be welcome, because as is there is nothing to go on here.

Doubt I'd even notice. I only notice the empty ones not the full ones.

Its only happened once, I tried to explain how it happened. Seems like a bug from last world. If it happens again ill pay more attion.

When did you noticed that it is full? It fill when you step in into water.

Ok ya I tried to refill it. I did not know it auto fills when you walk into water.

Barrels fill when you step into water? Also i had a barrel of seeds seem to fill itself after being logged off for a few days. Walled in plot. May try to make it happen again

Barrels don't auto-fill walking into shallow water, you have to right click the water with a barrel above your head to fill it that way.
