Taming bug

Im not sure if this is supposed to be in the game, but i got a sheep to 95% tamed, then tried to tame it today
when it reached critical damage, i got a 0 for taming value, and it would not end combat, ended up killing it with punch to make sure that it actually was low enough to tame

Fascinating. Not sure what caused that. Steps to reproduce?

thats the pen, I guess the process up until this point was normal, same as what worked for 3 prior cows
i had stance changed to aggressive when the taming number came up, although i changed to passive after that and it didnt change anything
I had a sword/shield equipt and was damaging it with punch and parry

I'd like to add that my brothers cows have not entered combat stance for a week now. they're still leashed but they're still not tamed because they refuse to going into combat.
This game really needs a great sword...

Now every single one of the animals i was taming have disappeared, including a cow that i had just finished taming to 100% when i logged off but had not moved from the taming pens to the main pen (considering all my tamed animals are still there and other valuables, i doubt its stealing, and no scents). 3 boars, a cow, and a sheep. :(

I had something similiar happening.
Yesterday fought against 3 animals. Peaced out(went passive?) on them at combat start. 2/3 (pig and sheep) were punched to death.
I'm using one pen for all of my animals currently and it got a bit crowded. Just theory crafting here. The animals were kinda stuck near/at other animals and couldnt really pass/move to me freely. Maybe thats what caused them not to yield?
Today I fought against 3 sheeps and taming proccess was succesful. The only difference is that I let them move freely out of the animal pen so they had lots of space to fight against me.

I had 2 other bugs happening while taming:
1. was fighting boar, sheep got untethered and started walking away from my pen.
2. I always tether animals after the fight. Yet my 2 sheeps(from 12 animals total) dissapeared when the area got unloaded. Maybe sometimes hitching post doesn't remember that some other animal was tethered to it and lets you tether second animal to same post?
as a side note: my taming pen is far away from walls so someone agroing them is out of the question :P

Maybe related to the clover bug, then, where if an animal collides with an object other than the character, they lose interest in the clover?
