Ants, the Ultimate Roadblock

As the title would lead you to believe, an Ant Hill has disrupted a road I've been constructing. But, instead of being able to walk past it to the next stone and continue, when I attempted to use it the timer would tick up to 90% and fail when heading west. I was able to travel east from the stone and ran into the ant hill again. I then continued east all the way to the Milestone. After returning to the beginning of the road I tried using it again and it simply stopped at 90% again.
I tried a different character and even had another player come test it, but we can no longer travel on the road. I'm a bit perplexed.
Now, I figure this will sort itself out once the ant hill de-spawns, but until that time, the road is completely unusable. I'll update again ~20min and see if it works.

*edit*
I'd also like to mention the first time an ant hill blocked the road, it did not have this effect. So this might be hard to narrow down a specific cause.

I went ahead and gave it some extra time, but it still doesn't work. I'd assume the ants would have disappeared by now (it's too long for me to walk on foot) but it's still not working. Nerf ants please.

I'm not sure I understand. The anthill interrupted you when you were travelling west. Passing it manually and jumping on the next roadsign gave you an hourglass ticking up to 90% only to then abort without anything happening? You can no longer use the road at all?

Seems to be the same problem as this. Made that a sticky and will resolve it through that one. Locking this report.
