Got killed by a boar while i was unconcious allready

Just got killed by a chain of unfortunate event and im wondering if things were working as intended.

I mistakenly aggroed a boar and while runnign away i got knocked out by 2 bats. Laying on the ground the boar made some crazy bullrun attack and knocked out all my remaining hard health points (like 40 or so). laying on the ground with 0 SHP and 1 HHP a leech i just cought in the swamp ticks and kills me -_-

Is this how things are supposed to work and i was just really really unlucky? Just paid my first supcription yesterday and next day i loose everything by this chain of events

dude how did u succced on doing this? XD im sorry for you, i lost my first char during crash. ull just get over it. i mean running in bats while running away from boar... dont u guys check minimap?

Well it was only a matter of seconds and i didnt expect any real danger since i had like 90 SHP but that boar basicly drained all my remaining hhp in like a second. What i dont understand is why the leech actually killed me, will it drain HHP after SHP are gone?

Yep, if you are unconscious with leeches in your equipment slots they will take HHP. When you wake up you have to remove them quickly unless RNG causes one to tick and knock you out again/keep you unconscious. They'll keep sucking until they fill up or are removed so you can die this way if you're not careful.

So, you're running around with 40hhp left through swamps, aggroing bats and boars, and generally YOLO:ing to your heart's content, and it seems odd that you die from it?

one thing to add: if you'r fighting one animal, and it knocks you out, he'll just stop combat and leave (ok, not sure about bears).
BUT, if you'r running from one animal, and get koed by another animal, the 1st animal will lay down every attack he had previously in mind for you on your koed body, hitting directly into your hhp (I got a blunt trauma from ants early on this way ).
And yes, leeches can be used as weapons of murdering. Just KO someone, fill his equipment slots with leeches and watch them do the job
