Digging of acre (red) clay makes a big unfillable pits. Is this intended?
Let us fill em by something, may be soil or rocks or other clay.

It is intended for them to be unfillable.

+1

Put something into it, give it time to "meld" back into the quality of that clay node. Dig again

So is this jorb willingly forcing our hand to use ball clay for buildings and acre clay for toy chariots only?

Or does he want us to have massive holes in the ground everywhere when a Q acre node is found? Because right now to get the "good" acre clay you have to make a pretty big commitment of lowering the sides aeound the qnode.

you know just as I do that a qnode is generally only 1-6tiles.... equating to alot of throwaway in order to dig the good stufc

I'm well aware of how it works. Its easy enough to get enough top q clay for a smelter and use the other clay you get digging around the sides for chariots/other stuff. Its definitely annoying, but it's still a lot of clay you can get before the digging gets too absurd.

Did you find acre clay better than any ball clay in your area that'd make you use it for a smelter? Of the dozen or so acre clay nodes I've found none have been even 20q. The only items restricted to acre clay are the chariot and platter.

Working as intended for now.
