Aggro animal from boat, exit the boat to fight the animal, animal attacks boat until destroyed and ignores you in the meantime.

Well before you agroed animals on boats they get confused you jump in and out and kill them. Now if they break your boat it prevents that fix = leave boat then agro?

Animal tries to destroy your escape route. I do not mind this. ^^

It would be cool if they instead slashed a hole in your boat with a single move, which had to be repaired to be useable.

What are you talking about? They get confused? They run up to the edge of the water like always, it wasn't even about trying to cheese it or anything I just saw it while boating by, attacked it from the boat and then I got out to fight it immediately at which point to my surprise my boat was a more appealing target than myself which I thought was strange.

Shallow water used to be considered some sort of inaccessible for some animal pathing, or at least it did indeed confuse them.

Yeah except, it's the same as this:

I travel by roadsign and get aggroed by a boar on the other side, it comes for me from around a cliff, but the roadsign endpoint was between us when he aggroed. I step aside to engage, but he runs straight past me and destroys my roadsign and then comes for me.

It is in fact not ok.

Basically it's like how twitching worked in old haven the animal runs to the boat twitches you jump out hit it and jump back in and your 100% safe but now to prevent that I'd assume animals now break boats also to prevent boat blocking
