Taking bloodstone out of a stockpile turns it into stone

Postby MisterKennedy » Thu Oct 29, 2015 3:18 am

I had a stockpile of 70 bloodstone that I mined from before the latest patch. After the patch, I went to take it out of the stockpile to smelt it, and each piece I would take out would turn into gneiss automatically. I can confirm that this only affects bloodstone and not heavy earth.

There's no way this is true; stockpiles have no such magic. You must reasonable have confused your stockpiles.

I'll get a video of it. Give me a few minutes.

That video does not actually prove your claim, though. There is indeed a bug with the ore/stone stockpiles, but it consists in the fact that you can put ore in stone stockpiles, and when you do so, such a stone stockpile may later "turn into" an ore stockpile, but one which still contains stone.

Your explanation makes sense, all the more because I wasn't aware of the bug you described. We did originally have a bunch of piles of stone that were close to a bunch of piles of ore, and it's possible that some ore got mixed into a stone pile. I do know that I checked the first few pieces of that particular pile (which appeared as an ore pile at the time) before the patch, and I thought it was a full stack of bloodstone rather than a rock pile that turned into an ore pile. Thanks for the quick reply.
