Cow giving the wrong quality of milk

According to my cow's stats its milk quality is 100% and quantity 10 from a Q 10,10,10 cow. But the milk it gives is 8,7,8

Is she eating low quality food, perhaps?

Will look at this regardless.

One of bars is low, aka. health is low. i think lower health lowers q of products.

There should be a way to check the Q of the food in the trough ;)

the lowest food in the trough though should be around avg 20 from when I first built it.

Brown bar = starvation. If you have any black showing you lose quality on products permanently. Far as I can tell it's functioning as intended.

If you mean independent of using a bucket to scoop out swill, then yeah, it would be nice to just see it on the trough information. Otherwise, use a bucket to scoop out some swill and see what the quality is.

I don't see how that's happened since they have always had food in their trough, if that's the case then there's a bug with eating.

That has accumulated starvation multiple times. A single hit is a tiny sliver. Eating isn't continuous, they eat at exactly 90% hunger. If they find no trough, they eat grass and accumulate "starvation", although the game calls it "wellfedness" I guess.

Does your trough cover every tile of your pen? Have you seen dirt spots appearing?

Do they actually have to be able to path to a trough to eat or do they just automatically eat if in range of the trough, and if they cannot path to a trough do they just give up and starve or do they keep trying?

I did not know you can do that... So it turns out it was the food, although I really do not understand how the food Q was so terrible considering everything i've put in there since I tamed the cows (it had about 100 units of food before that) has been 20 avg up to 800 units.
