ambiguous item names

could also be a suggestion i guess.

for recipes requiring specific types of meat, the name on the input slot is always "Meat", instead of "Roast Chicken" or "Raw Wild Pork", as the item names say.

also yellow and red brick items are both shown as "Brick".

Bricks are bricks. It doesn't matter when you build with them. it only matters when you pave. It might be a bigger hassle for them to get different names at this point.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Aware, but surprisingly difficult to fix. Will be fixed at some point.

some more inconsistencies:

-animal meat names usually follow: "Raw [Animal]"
ie. "Raw Bat"
chicken does not: "Chicken Meat" (because it uses another icon maybe? though "Roast Chicken" conforms to the standard)

-hides = "Fresh [Animal] Hide" -> (dried) "[Animal] Hide"
ie. "Fresh Badger Hide" -> "Badger Hide"
does not follow:
"Raw Fox Hide" -> "Dried Fox Hide"
"Raw Boarhide" ((dried) "Boarhide" conforms)
"Raw Lucky Rabbit's Foot" ((dried) "Lucky Rabbit's Foot" conforms)

-doughs = no idea which is supposed to be correct: "Unbaked [Food]" or "[Food] Dough", as both naming conventions contain both pies & breads (leaning towards unbaked as the new baked goods are all named thusly)
a)unbaked: Unbaked Apple Pie, Unbaked Bark Bread, Unbaked Carrot Cake, Unbaked Linseed Loaf, Unbaked Meatpie, Unbaked Raisin Butter-Cake
b)dough: Blueberry Pie Dough, Bread Dough, Chantrelle & Onion Pirozhki Dough, Honeybun Dough, Pea Pie Dough, Pumpkin Bread Dough, Pumpkin Pie Dough, Ring of Brodgar Dough

-missing categories (the way they are now, it's not clear that other items can be used)
1)generic coal: now shows as "Coal", but encompasses "Coal", "Black Coal", "Everglowing Ember"
(-> note: maybe generic coal should be "Coal" as it is now, and coal from tar kilns changed to "Charcoal", as that is the more correct name for it)
2)generic sausage casings: now shows as "Intestines", but encompasses "Intestines", "Stitched Casing"

differences in recipes vs items:
(recipe) "traveler's sack" <-> (item) "traveller's sack"
(recipe) "pick axe" <-> (item) "pickaxe"
(recipe) "metal saucier" <-> (item) "metal saucière"

also most nuggets are in this format: "[metal] nugget"
except for steel which is as: "nugget of steel"
