Bug or intended? Logic behind it.

Alright, so I've noticed a few things being buildable and un buildable in certain areas. For example a crucible can be built inside a house while a steal box cannot. I was wondering if this is intended seeing as steelboxes are relatively small and would fit perfectly inside any miners house. Finery forges also can't be built inside a house. However for some odd reason ( or perhaps sick joke) you can build battering rams, carts, and even mine supports. Seeing as you can't even put drying racks in houses, its kind of lame that you can build battering rams and carts. One other thing, I noticed a long time ago was that you can't build tar kilns in caves unless it is paved. that seems weird aswell seeing as the stone ground acts as pavement for many other things. Anyways, I would like to know some of the logic behind these ideas and if its intentional or not. Personally i could care less about any of these, I just want steel boxes in my basement and not sitting outside for everyone to see.

Logic... what is it? ¦]

Seriously, though, it is a bit disjointed. Why couldn't you build a ram inside a house if the house i's big enough? etc etc. Some make a bit of sense, others should be the opposite for one reason or another. My suggestion is if it feels wrong, make a request it gets changed. Jorb might suggest differently, but a listing of objects and if they need restrictions changed could probably be done in a single thread.

Can I just say ... you can build tar kilns in caves without paving, I have two built on just the cave floor, so not sure why you couldn't, maybe you had them placed too far back against the wall .... ?

As for the topic, I also found it odd that I could build a crucible in my basement but not other heat source items, like a forge or a stone fireplace, I mean I know you wouldn't have a fire like ours in your basement, but, you wouldn't have a crucible either, so it is sort of odd ... I want a fireplace in my kitchen basement ... :D

Generally we've only tried to go with what seems reasonable for the objects in question, but some have, I'm sure, been assigned restrictions without too much thought. I'll look at the ones you brought up.

While you are at it you can add carbon monoxide poisoning environmental effect (asphyxiation damage) for people who light forges and ovens in their houses :)

You know, that many people do have ovens in their houses? and they light them, use them for baking and some even sleep on them? )
And it seems really odd for my too - why i can build cauldron at my basement but can't build fireplace. Though I know, this is not really bug - it seems strange...
