Planting seeds with shift rightclick

If I try to use shift+right click on a 4 seed stack and plant something with it won't work even though I have more seeds in my inv, shouldn't it count all my seeds instead of just one stack?

Maybe. You could use the bigger stack to plant.

Confirmed but hard to fix. Have consigned it to bug tracker.
