Making a stockpile on someones claim leaves vandalism scents

So I hunted a deer near hermits plot and I wanted to be a nice neighbour so I butchered a deer to make the ql a bit better and left it as stockpiles on hermit's plot. Now I have Red Handed buff, I left vandalism scents. I should think twice before trying to be nice in haven and hearth.

Is it a bug that picking/setting down an entire stockpile via wheelbarrow on a claim you don't have access to instantly gives you the entire amount of shp damage for each item in the pile? Maybe not but it was funny when I picked up a stockpile the other day and instantly had like 60x 1 shp damages pop above my head in a huge line.

how could I didn't notice turned on criminal acts after turning them on intentionally to get on the hermits plot and leave deer & stockpiles? I don't mind leaving scents there, I was just surprised that I got Red Handed debuff for making a stockiple. Anyway it seems like it turns quickly into Outlaw debuff.
