Rustroot extract bug

Postby Asgaroth22 » Mon Dec 14, 2015 3:13 pm

I prospected with the extract on L2, found black ore, built a minehole, mined out the whole vein, then got back on to L2 to prospect some more, and it showed a message that black ore is still there, though i was standing in a place under which on l3 was now only empty space. Shouldn't rustroot extract check if the tile was mined?

Perhaps, but arguably it also doesn't matter. Nine times out of ten you'll be the one who mined it out, in which case you'll also know about it.

Yes, but i'm more concerned about other nodes. If any other ore is close by, it won't show because extract will point to the nonexistent vein.
It isn't that much of a bug, just wanted to point it out.

EDIT: Anyway, how does the extract actually deal with multiple veins in range? Shows the closest, largest, or at random?

it's interesting as a feature because you can see what other people mined there. though i will agree with Asgaroth that it's annoying for finding other veins.
