lacking bone saw and fishing pole in crafting menu

I just started playing again after two years. I love the end times and the early game. However, I went through the early quests out of order and now, after having discovered bones (killed and cut up a chicken) and tree branches, and having bought primitive tools, lumberjacking and carpentry before finishing the quests, the game does not give me the option to make a bone saw. What else do I need? Is this a bug?

I also bought fishing before finishing the quests, and I do not have the option to make a fishing pole. Related problem?

You need to discover a bough from a tree, some recipes that used to use branches now use boughs instead.
