My Beetroot plant is gone (?)

Postby ladybugs » Thu Feb 25, 2016 7:03 pm

First of all sorry for my english.

I planted my beetroot like two or three days ago, then it was fully grown yesterday so I harvested it. After I harvested it, I remember that the beetrrot plant was still there.
Now when I want to check it again, its gone.
I tried to check for tracks but I did not find any..

I wonder what's happened to my beetroot plant?

You have to replant for it to still be there. Maybe you left the leaf on the ground and mistook it for the plant?

so what you said that beetroot plant is not regrowing? I need to replant it to get new beetroot?

It does also happen to my pumpkin plants. I had two pumpkin plants yesterday. Now, its only one plant.. its still growing...

Yes, crops need to be replanted unless they are on the trellis. So you would place one of your beetroots that you harvested back into the ground, for pumpkins it would be the seeds.
Plants on the trellis continue to grow, if you find better seeds then you need to destroy the plant itself and replant the seeds or crop (such as peas, peppercorns) onto the trellis. :)

Included the wiki link with more information for you, scroll down to no.4 = crops and how they are planted and their additional products.

Just to note for the ladybugs, Peas are an exception to this in that the vine is destroyed when harvesting, but then peas don't have the initial growth time required for first harvest like hops, grapes, and peppercorns (unsure about cucumber).
