Animals Fleeing Bug

Postby NineWorlds » Thu Feb 25, 2016 9:44 pm

Most animals in the game including bears flee when hit for a certain Amount of damage.
Which is normal, though

I've noticed a bug two times now where when the animal flees, it can instantly KO you. While not even being near you.

This happened once when A boar was fleeing and being chased down when I used the Move "Punch" i was hit for a 100+ and insta KO.

Just now I was attacking a badger and it started to flee. I chased it, and I was atleast 5 Tiles away while it was still running and all of a sudden i get hit for a 132 and get KOed.

Is this intentional or a bug?

From what I notice no animals have used any combat moves or defense moves when fleeing.

if they still have it up when they start fleeing and you use punch it will still hit.

I was KO'd by a peaceful boar, and it did not have boar tusk up...
There was also a time when I got ko'd by a peaceful cow.

Can confirm, same happened to me when I've used Take Aim(!) on fleeing boar that had no defenses up, from the distance. Instantly KO'ed.

Let me reiterate my request for a move log when getting ko'd, so we can just post that when reporting bugs. My theory is still the lingering "queued attack" bug, that saw at one time animals dumping all attempted attacks at once when coming into range with the animal.

Bearing the Claw works like our own Feigned Dodge, or so I was told. Maybe you let it expire while you were too close.

W7 - Elvenia, til we all got lazy.
W8 - Cult of R'lyeh, til the deeps called us back.
W9 - Tartarus, til death/wizards came for the land itself.

I have heard it claimed some times that animals can attack in strange ways for lots of damage, but I have never been able to verify it. Not sure.
