Land Survey digging forever

Postby boshaw » Sun Feb 28, 2016 9:45 am

Once my character got to the corner of my land survey it kept digging forever, but it wasn't losing stamina nor was it actually digging any dirt up.

It just stood there in the digging animation until i moved him. I managed to do it multiple times in the same corner too. I also checked to see if the tile was dig-able still and i was able to dig it manually, but the incline was pretty steep if it's different for land survey.

If it makes a difference I've only had this happen with land surveys that were overlapped to form a conveyor belt.

Fascinating. Would love more exact steps to reproduce if anyone has them. Might look at it.

I had one guy digging in the bottom left survey from a dirt mound that had height 27 until it hit 10. This dirt was being displaced into the blue overlap area.

I had a second guy digging in the overlap of my bottom left and top right surveys which went from height 10 to 5. The dirt was displaced from here to the top right which was lower than 5.

As the first guy digs his 27 height mound down the second guy eventually reaches the corner of the top right survey that's pictured above as a red circle on the point. The second guy proceeds to dig this down from height 10 to 7 (due to sloop), but once he hits 7 he just keeps digging without actually getting dirt/stam loss.

Both diggers had metal shovels of roughly equal quality (~q12-13), my heights may be a bit off since i'm going off what's there today rather than yesterday which i may have been slightly different.
