Reported here, among others, but no need to be sorry. I appreciate further reports.

It is interesting to note that this seems(?) to occur only for horses. Makes me suspect that they are unique in some way (perhaps related to riding) to cause this bug for them and not other animals.

Did you ride this horse before you killed it?

Yep. I ride it to "canyon of dead horse". But this time instead of bow, I killed him hitting from below the cliff. To test if i can kill them easily and therefore start taming them. I do not remember if this was before or after returning home with the carcass.

While wearing a necro cloak, skinning a horse should make it come alive, and tamed when fed with dreams ¦]

I was chanting at the moon and letting the boar feast on my first born before I slaughtered it. Do you think this has something to do with the graphic glitch?

Happens for bears too, and it also happens before skinning it.

I had meleed it to death on horseback; at this point it was a normal corpse. I lifted it; it was still a normal corpse. Then I hearthed home (still on horseback) and found that I was holding a standing bear. I put it on the ground and it remained standing, as in picture #1.

It's a new feature! You can display a trophy stuffed bear in your house now! :P j/k... interesting bug, but would be something nice we could have to decorate our larpy houses with.
