Customer Reward bug

Postby Chebermech » Fri Mar 11, 2016 9:11 am

figured i might be not the only one with this bug, so here goes a cool story.

its been some time since the new world began and i've noticed that i still haven't received any of the customer rewards through my hearth fire even though i've spent some moneys on a hat and subscription. not so long ago ive decided to make a character on my alt account which has the same name as my main but has a first character being lowercase (chebermech), and suddenly i've noticed that i have a sub token, lep hat and sombrero along with the only thing i've bought on it - protest sign during the last world (haven't had a subscription or bought anything else on it). I wouldn't mind using a new gift option to transfer that stuff to my main, but decided to wait and post this up to see a response, and also wouldn't mind having sombrero on both characters as it should be, if this bug can be fixed.

Most likely you bought the stuff with the account written in lowercase letters - in opposition to what you may be trained to believe (by being exposed to bad operating systems from microsoft) case matters.

or maybe evil gnomes moved all my things to an alt account while i was asleep, in any case, well actually only in upper case i did get both sub and hat, and only protest sign on the alt lower case account last world... its probably all due to the protest sign, i guess that's what you get when you oppose the authority.

While the idea of being a victim of conspiracy is sound at times, I feel confident that this isn't the case in this case: Occams razor dictates that since you don't seem to be important enough to warrant the effort, a simpler explanation is more likely...

Problem was that the database confused upper and lowercase accounts. I have fixed it to what I believe you want/should have now, so feel free to verify that.

Thanks for the condescending opinion Granger. He clearly isn't worth the effort.

My point was that there certainly is no active effort to do bad things to him.

Other people may have different priorities, like you who seems to spend quite some effort on impersonation of an asshole....
