Bats do not attack you when you're on a horse

The worst monsters in the Hearthlands warp the fabric of space and time...

Bats do not attack you when you're on a horse

Not sure if this is also the case for other animals, but when you're on a horse you can just bump into bats repeatedly without any of them ever aggroing you. Naturally, attacking them still leads to combat.

This is very convenient (it makes traveling through caves faster), but it doesn't seem like an intended feature so I'm reporting it. Would not mind at all if this were never fixed.

It's the same for all animals, not just bats. Additionally, pathing AI doesn't work for aggroed/leashed animals on a horse. It's also similar in a boat when you have other passengers, animals don't path very much if at all.

The pathfinding its broken since the last patch. If you focus an animal there is a lot of chances for it to get stuck in any tree. You must aproach him or move in his direction to see him moving again.
And bats are more broken than that. If there is a corner betwen you and him there is a chance for him to get stucked there, then it sudenly teleport infront of you.

Yeah, I have been aggro'd twice by boars when on horseback recently, yesterday in fact, was the latest time.

Odd, I've never been aggroed, despite standing on/next to a lot of aggressive animals. I still think they're at least a little bugged in terms of animal aggressiveness, as mietzi said.

Yeah, I'm not disagreeing on that ... and have not had it happen in W8 or this one until just recently, so maybe it is something that happened last patch as Pedorlee said.

tbh most of them were always bugged in terms of aggressivness :D i remember walking into a badger with 3 people last world without getting aggroed.
Maybe it enjoyed having people around it.. Idk but it was weird. Same with bats. Sometimes you get blocked by them at runspeed 3 without getting aggroed and sometimes you creep 5 tiles away at speed 1 and you get aggroed by 4 at once..

Will look at it.

Suspecting that pathfinding problem is due to inexact object coordinates. Will be fixed when floating point coordinates are introduced.
