can you not milk mares that have had foals?
i read a semi old thread that said you have to use a barrel instead of a bucket but that didn't work either. i've only bred horses so far, still waiting for sheep/cows to give birth.

horses do have a milk quality stat so as to why i think it's a bug

You can't drink their milk, the milk quality stat is for the babbies, if it's like legacy. Pigs also have milk quality stat.
