Mine Supports bug

Not sure is this a bug or mine misunderstanding, but at this topic http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=47599

Enjoy!

So, as I understand - removing mine-supports shouldn't cause the cave in, if there is others mine supports, covering that area. Is that right? Cause if so, than it doesn't work:

Just removed mine support left of mine char and here's cave-in, though that area was totally covered by 2 other supports.
If I just get the quote wrong, than... what the hell does it means at all?

Yes you got the quote wrong, it means that if there was supposed to be a cave-in somewhere in the area that got covered by support and you remove the support the cave in will collapse, no matter if there is another support around or not. If you see the cave-in dust while mining and you place a support and then you destroy it = cavein.

This does not seem logical to me. Why would a cave-in be caused by removing a support from an already fully supported area?

It isn't logical indeed but it has to be like that otherwise you could just destroy all the supports. Right now destroying supports works mostly for cases when you build a support to check if first tile isn't cave-in tile, then if its not you can destroy the support for better looks.

This mechanic is bullshit.

We should be able to remove supports and only get caveins from unstable tiles in the support range (of the destroyed support) that are no longer supported at all.

agree, current mechanic is pointless because in almost all cases you're building a mine support to prevent a cave-in

What's wrong with them? Judging by your screenshot they are working just fine.

there shouldn't be a cave-in there at all, cause that area was covered by initiall mine ladder to prevent cave-in:

Not a bug.
