Bugged Dragonfly?

So I was out collecting dragonflies earlier when I noticed that every time I caught one an "after image" of one would be left be hind. As shown in the photo both of these dragonflies are the same. I caught it and it left behind an image of its self hovering there and not moving, then I let it go and flew away. I am using the most recent version of the Purus Pasta client.

Is this a client bug? Probably shubla not maintaining his client again.
