Jumping or Climbing Down Large Cliffs

Jumping up or climbing down the massive cliffs on mountains takes literally a decade. I was trapped EASILY for 25 seconds climbing a cliff earlier today. Is this an intended mechanic? I can only imagine it isn't. I figure a remedy would be preventing climbing of cliffs if they are a sufficient height.

They work just fine and are very handy for hunting.

I dont see the problem at all in fact they make traveling faster

Yes. Is faster to jump than walk around, even if jump is slow.

Not a bug. It is intended as such. If anything one could argue that you shouldn't be able to climb the higher ridges, but are you sure you want that?

Yes. It would better resemble the difficulty in climbing up a mountain. Albeit I'm sure I stand in the minority on that one.

I wouldnt mind it, if you added climbers kit to the game that you could craft and then equip to use on larger cliffs, but like burinn said:
