Sheep failed to eat from trough in range

Postby NeoBasilisk » Mon May 02, 2016 2:07 am

I was just shearing my sheep when I saw a red number pop up over one of them. I inspected it, and the ewe had a hit on wellfedness. There are two food troughs that cover the area she was standing in by a large margin. I'm not sure what just happened, but it would seem to be a bug.

Were either of the troughs empty?

One other possibly relevant fact is that it was near the boundary line of a third trough (also full) at the time.

I think it's a known bug, i seen reports of starving horses that has enough food but just refused to eat for unknown reasons.

Very hard to debug without more to go on.

The sheep was standing around where I am in this picture. The empty trough had food in it at the time. The other one was full as well. There is another one farther away that you can see the border for on the screenshot. I think the only thing better I could provide would be a video of it actually happening.

Not saying the fault lies with your report. Merely that it is an obscure bug.

I put dirt under my animals for this exact reason. No issues so far.
